Summer Haze

Thought of the Day:
"Those that make the best use of their time have none to spare"
- Thomas Fuller

------------------------------------------------------

These past two years of my life have been hectic!
I've had school, evit, work, and other stuff to deal with everyday!
[plus, thats just how our family is. Busy and unpredictable.]
This is the very first summer since...2004 that has been completely free!! [except for work]
I've always had summer school and EVIT to worry about.

Thinking back on all of this, I've come to realize that I actually like my hectic life style. This summer is just work..and sleep...and being lazy/playing with friends. Don't get me wrong, all that is way fun. But I feel like such a...BLOB!

I can't wait for the 24th of August.
I'll officially be a college student.
With that, sadly, I'll have to trade the little social life I've gained from this summer of freedom. :C

This lazy summer of mine I feel was deserved and quite needed. Without it, I don't think I'd have the will or energy to start college and work!

August 1

Thought of The Day:
"One way to get the most out of life is to look upon it as an adventure"
- William Feather

-------------------------------------------------------------

This was a birthday quite unlike any other.
For one reason, I was turning 18.
My parents surprised me, and got me a laptop. :D

Then Mimi, Connie, Shelby and I went to go see The Band Of Skulls playing a free show at Zia Records. We went to every Zia Records store in the area of Phoenix and Tempe trying to find the one were they were playing at [thanks Cha Cha]! Finally, the last store we went to they were there...packing up all their stuff!!
Fortunately, Connie has amazing luck meeting famous musicians.

We heard about a show they were doing later that night..
and we looked up directions to get there..thanks cha cha
Don't worry, we made it :)

It was one of the funnest shows I've been to.
But it wasn't because of their fancy high tech lighting, or because the crowd was wild.
Their music was amazing and they really made you feel it.
They were so connected as a group, you could see it.

I made eye contact with the drummer several times...
He'll remember me when they're super famous.
